Electrical Maintenance
The Electrical Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program prepares employees for journeyman troubleshooting and repair technicians on electrical and/or mechanical plant systems and equipment. The program covers the entire subject from an introduction to electricity and electronics to step-by-step troubleshooting.
This program begins by building the foundation with courses in electronic building blocks, from simple diodes to complex ICs. Next the employees cover how semiconductor devices work and how components are combined to perform tasks, including amplification, oscillation, and signal and power supply regulation. The program closes by providing courses on understanding of how logic circuits work. Employees will receive a journeyman license at the time of completion.
