System Protection
The primary function of the System Protection Technician is to maintain the protective relaying systems high levels of accuracy and reliability to ensure electric service continuity and preserve the operational integrity of the power delivery system from the generator to the customer. The System Protection Technician Apprenticeship Program prepares employees to work with the necessary expertise in electric utility protective relaying maintenance procedures.
