Wireless Network

Where can I access the wireless network?
Bismarck State College has wireless access available in all buildings on campus.

The following wireless service set (SSID) options are available on campus:

BSC-Employees:  This network is available only to devices owned by Bismarck State College. Users will be required to authenticate using their Campus Connection/NDUS ID login credentials. Individuals using non-BSC assigned devices will not have access to this network. We strongly recommend this SSID when connecting to the campus wireless network with BSC owned computers.

NDUS-Systemwide: This SSID gives you a secure connection to the network with privately owned devices. Users will be required to authenticate using their Campus Connection/NDUS ID login credentials. This secure connection is available to anyone within BSC and the NDUS having valid campus connection credentials. We strongly recommend this SSID when connecting to the campus wireless network with non-BSC owned equipment.

BSC-Guest:  Anyone not included in the two previous SSIDs will be able to connect to our network after they agree to the BSC Network and Computer Use policy by clicking on the "Accept" button. Users selecting this SSID will be allowed browser access (i.e., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and VPN.

For those residing in the BSC Residence Halls, the following wireless SSID options are available:

BSC-Housing-Secure:  This SSID is a secure connection best used for computers, tablets , and phones. Users will be required to authenticate using their Campus Connection/NDUS ID login credentials. Individuals will be prompted to enter their credentials before being allowed access to the network.

BSC-HousingIoT:  This SSID is for gaming, streaming, and other IoT devices. This network requires registering the device to connect.
