Workforce Recruitment
Bismarck State College's National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE) works with employers in various energy industry sectors to meet their workforce needs.
We would like to hear from you whether you’re looking to hire graduates from one specific discipline or many.
We work with you to create awareness of internship and job openings through
Handshake
.
Companies may also visit students at the NECE to present on your facility and conduct interviews on-site.
Work with us to encourage students to pursue careers in the energy industry and attend BSC on campus or online through the
Grow Your Own Workforce
program. This program targets individuals local to the facilities you’re looking to staff, building a capable, skilled workforce where you need it.
Take part in the annual Careers in Energy Week Employer Presentation Day in October. This event allows companies to present to on-campus students and tell them who you are, what positions you hire for, and why students should choose you as an employer. Companies need not have open positions to participate. . More information will be made available closer to the event.
Allow students enrolled in online programs to job shadow at your facility. The NECE works with employers across the country to place students enrolled in online programs on-site at facilities to complete an 80-hour job shadow experience, where students complete a workbook under the supervision of a mentor at your company. You are not required to pay the student, and you need not offer employment to the individual, however many employers use the course as an opportunity to observe the student's work ethic and ability, and may offer employment if desired. Participation in this program is dictated by student enrollment. For more information about this program
