What a week it has been! This unprecedented four-day winter storm closure has caused disruptions in the BSC final exam week schedule like no other event before. Your patience and flexibility during this time have been greatly appreciated.

Below is additional guidance and instruction as we continue to navigate the campus closure and its disruptions:

  1. All outstanding semester work must have a completion plan in place by 5 PM on Friday, December 16. Faculty will communicate with students via email to outline these plans and all students are expected to check their BSC email for this information. This only applies to students who have not completed their fall 2022 semester coursework and exams.

  2. The BSC Bookstore has extended the deadline to return rental books to Jan. 3. The bookstore will resume regular business hours on Monday, Dec. 19 and be open throughout the winter break for rental returns and Spring 2023 semester textbook purchases.

  3. BSC meal plan contracts have been extended to Dec. 30, 2022.

  4. As the storm starts to let up, anyone planning to leave campus should check the North Dakota road report before departing.

  5. BSC residence halls remain open. Students staying in a BSC residence hall during this campus closure should contact the BSC Student & Residence Life office at bsc.housing@bismarckstate.edu with questions and concerns.

  6. BSC Mystic Marketplace will be open for hot meals from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17. To-go entrees will be available to take for dinner. The Mystic Marketplace will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 18.

  7. The BSC Student Union will be open Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Student Union will be closed on Sunday.

  8. The BSC Campus Police department will be on campus throughout the campus closure. If you have questions or need non-emergency assistance, they can be reached at 701-224-2700. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
