Bismarck State College holds its 12th annual President’s Run Friday, July 12, to raise money for the BSC scholarships in memory of Ken Paulus, a longtime friend, supporter, and employee at BSC.

Motorcycle and car enthusiasts are welcome to join BSC President Larry C. Skogen for this year’s run south on ND Highway 1804 to Strasburg and Hague, N.D., to tour Sts. Peter and Paul Church (Strasburg) and St. Mary's Church (Hague). Riders will enjoy a German lunch at the Hague Cafe before returning to Bismarck.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. (CST) with departure at 9 a.m. from the BSC Jack Science Center parking lot. A $110 registration per vehicle is requested.

Paulus taught Welding at BSC from 1980 to 2017. Proceeds from the event will go to the Ken Paulus Memorial Scholarship Fund at the BSC Foundation, supporting students pursuing their education in Welding and Mechanical Maintenance. The public is welcome to participate in the President's Run and in remembering Paulus, his many years of service to the college, and his impact on countless students over the years.

For those unable to participate in the ride, scholarship donations can be made directly to the BSC Foundation, PO Box 5587, Bismarck, N.D. 58506-5587. For more information and to sign-up, call 701-224-5692 or email rita.nodland@bismarckstate.edu. For more information visit bismarckstate.edu/presrun.
