The Bismarck State College (BSC) Great Plains Energy Corridor, in partnership with co-hosts US Senator John Hoeven, US Senator Kevin Cramer, US Representative Kelly Armstrong, and ND Lieutenant Governor Brent Sanford, will host the Great Plains & EmPower ND Energy Conference on Monday, Oct. 10, at the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE). After a two-year break due to COVID, the conference will return to the BSC campus for the 14th annual event.
The one-day conference begins at 8 a.m. (CST) with a morning roundtable discussion with the conference hosts and an update on energy hub projects across the state and implications of federal funding. Throughout the day are presentations focusing on major innovations and updates on advanced technology in the industry, like carbon capture, renewable energy storage, and rare elements advancement. The event also includes panel discussions on electrical reliability issues and how organizations are meeting the need for increased demand for power across the state.
