The Bismarck State College (BSC) Library will host the final of three BookTalk at BSC discussions exploring an “I Spy” theme on Sunday, March 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. Led by retired English and humanities instructor Dr. Brian Palecek, this discussion will examine the book “Permanent Record” by Edward Snowden.

“Permanent Record” is a memoir that offers a firsthand account of Snowden’s life and the events leading up to his decision to leak classified documents in 2013 revealing widespread government surveillance programs. In this candid and thought-provoking book, Snowden reflects on his motivations and the implications of his actions, sparking a global debate on privacy, security, and individual freedoms.

BookTalk at BSC is the BSC Library’s annual book discussion series funded by the library and the Warren and Rose Marie Henke Memorial Library Endowment. It is free and open to all. All discussions take place in Skogen Hall, room 204, 1400 Schafer St., in Bismarck.
