BSC welcomes two key additions to its academic leadership team

Bismarck State College (BSC) announces the appointment of two accomplished healthcare industry professionals to key leadership positions, further enhancing the institution's commitment to student success and excellence in polytechnic education.
Alex Glatt joins BSC as the Assistant Dean of Current and Emerging Technologies – Nursing Pathways and Nursing Program Director/Clinical Coordinator for Nursing programs. In this dual role, Glatt oversees the Practical Nurse (PN) and Associate Degree (AD) Nursing programs, EMT/Paramedic programs, Dialysis Technician program and Certified Medical Assistant program.
Prior to BSC, Glatt worked at Sanford Health in Bismarck as a registered nurse (RN) in the emergency department and later as an RN clinical educator and nurse residency program coordinator. Glatt earned his B.S. in Nursing from North Dakota State University and obtained his M.S. in Nursing Education from Western Governors University.
Mikayla Atchison joins BSC in the role of Assistant Dean of Current and Emerging Technologies – Allied Health Pathways. In this capacity, Atchison oversees the Surgical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Exercise and Sports Studies programs.
With a wealth of experience gained over 12 years at Sanford Health in Bismarck, Atchison's background includes roles as a Clinical Informatics Analyst and Patient Experience Strategist. She holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead, with minors in Leadership and Sociology.
These appointments underscore BSC's dedication to student success, workforce development for high-demand healthcare careers, and its ongoing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality polytechnic education.
