BSC students qualify for national Microsoft competition

Because of their exceptionally high scores on Microsoft Office Specialist exams, four Bismarck State College students have been named North Dakota Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) champions and have qualified to compete in the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship in Orlando, Fla., June 26-28, 2023.

Two BSC Dual Credit students from Mandan High School, Brennalyn Fewson and Michael Storsved, have qualified to compete in the championship event. Fewson earned the distinction in Microsoft PowerPoint and Storsved in Microsoft Word. BSC Finance majors from Bismarck, N.D., Morgan Mcdowall and Jasmine Boeckel, both qualified in Microsoft Excel.

This is the fourth year students in BSC Administrative AssistantFinanceCybersecurity and Dual Credit programs have been named North Dakota MOS Champions.

Dr. Vickie Volk, BSC Professor of Computers and Office Technology, has been named an Outstanding Microsoft Educator for the 2022 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship Fall Qualifier.
