BSC students named Phi Beta Lambda national qualifiers

Two BSC students were named Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) national qualifiers after participating in the virtual Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference on April 9 and 10, 2021.

BSC Management student Julian Clemon, Bismarck, N.D., was awarded first place in the Personal Finance category, third place in the Job Interview category, and was elected to the 2021-2022 PBL State Leadership Team as Vice President of Communications.

BSC Energy Services & Renewable Technician student James Guidry, Sulphur, La., was awarded first place in the Computer Concepts, the Networking Concepts and the Statistical Concepts categories.

Clemon and Guidry are eligible to participate in the virtual PBL National Leadership Conference, June 24-27.

PBL is the collegiate division of the national association, Future Business Leaders of America, dedicated to inspiring and developing the next generation of leaders by preparing members for careers in business and business-related fields. The purpose of the BSC PBL chapter includes leadership, strengthening confidence, developing good working relationships within the community and encouraging community service. The BSC chapter advisor is Dr. Vickie Volk, BSC professor of Computers & Office Technology.
