Frederic Odioinkhere, a student at Bismarck State College, has been named a 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar and awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Odioinkhere, a BSC Process Technology major from Plant City, Fla., will also receive a commemorative medallion.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars across the nation with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Students are nominated for the academic team by their college administrators. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership and engagement in college and community service.
"BSC has a long history of attracting talented students in pursuit of their academic and career goals," says BSC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Dan Leingang. "The potential impact of our BSC graduates is great and this type of recognition, especially by an international organization such as The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, emphasizes the high level of academic aptitude of BSC students."
The scholarship program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa.
