Bismarck State College (BSC) has received a grant from the Dakota Digital Academy to award 10 K-12 teachers with a $500 scholarship to take cybersecurity courses required for the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Level 1 & 2 Computer Science and Cybersecurity credentials.

The scholarships will help to cover the cost for teachers to take the Palo Alto Networks training, offered in partnership with BSC. These credential courses, offered online and led by industry experts, qualify teachers to teach intermediate and advanced computer science and cybersecurity courses in the high school. This will help increase the Early Entry and Dual Credit offerings for high school students as well as create career exposure and awareness among high school students about the high demand for workforce in this industry.

Upon completion of the programming, teachers will have access to Palo Alto Networks Virtual Lab.
