Bismarck State College (BSC) will hold its first-ever Content Creators Summit, tailored specifically for those interested in pursuing creative media careers. Perfect for someone exploring careers in creative media such as writing, graphic design, social media, news and videography, this educational event will be held Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the BSC campus.

The event’s keynote speaker, Lindsey Ellefson, is a distinguished BSC alum whose media credits include reporting for WIRED, Glamour, and BuzzFeed News and producing for CNN and NY1. Ellefson’s insights promise to inspire and enlighten attendees about the dynamic landscape of creative media.

Throughout the day, attendees will participate in breakout sessions led by industry experts covering a diverse range of topics, including photography, animation, audio, storytelling, critical thinking and more. Each 50-minute session is designed to equip students with practical skills and valuable insights into the world of creative media.

Held at the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence, 1200 Schafer St., admission to the Content Creators Summit is free. Lunch will be provided, and attendees will receive fun BSC swag. Students or student groups are encouraged to secure their spot by registering before April 29 at bismarckstate.edu/ContentCreators.

Following the Content Creators Summit, attendees are encouraged to stay and enjoy “Shortcuts,” a Harry Potter-themed design battle where professional designers and college students team up, Hogwarts style, to battle it out and crown the design champions. Not just a competition, “Shortcuts” is also a fundraiser for the BSC Graphic Design Club.
