The Bismarck State College Agriculture, Technology, Food and Natural Resources program along with the BSC Agriculture Club will join the efforts of the Agriculture Council of America (ACA) to celebrate National Ag Day on Tuesday, March 22.

BSC ag students will host a day of activities in the BSC Student Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to create an understanding of how food and fiber products are produced, to cultivate an appreciation for the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products, and build an awareness for career opportunities in the agriculture industry.

BSC National Ag Day activities will include:
  • Art with Agriculture hosted by the BSC Ag Club
  • Free ice cream & toppings sponsored by the BSC Agriculture program
  • Agriculture Quiz Bowl with prizes
  • Interactive booths hosted by the BSC Agriculture Program, NRCS Soil Conservation, ND Beef Commission and ND Beekeepers Association
On the national level, the ACA will host events in the nation’s capital, including “A Celebration of Modern Agriculture on the National Mall” and “2022 Ag & Food Policy Summit.” Additionally, the ACA will bring approximately 100 college students to Washington, D.C., to deliver the message of Ag Day. Events will also be held virtually.

These events mark a nationwide effort to tell the true story of American agriculture and remind citizens that agriculture is a part of all of us. A number of producers, agricultural associations, corporations, students and government organizations involved in agriculture are expected to participate.
