Bismarck State College (BSC) Theatre presents its upcoming production of “Tiny Beautiful Things" on Oct. 19-22.  Based on the book by Cheryl Strayed and adapted for stage by Nia Vardalos, the show will run Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium on the BSC campus.

“Tiny Beautiful Things” is about Sugar who begins writing a “Dear Abby”-type advice column called “Dear Sugar,” and thousands of people turn to her for words of wisdom, compassion and hope. Unsure of herself at first, she finds a way to weave her own life experiences together to respond to the deep yearning and heartrending questions from her readers.

“This play brings to light questions, experiences and emotions experienced by so many of us over the course of our lives,” said Director Daniel Walstad. “It is filled with moments of vulnerability, poignancy, and humor, just like life.”

While "Tiny Beautiful Things" is a heartwarming play, the production includes strong language and subject matter intended for adult audiences and is recommended for ages 16 and older. With its honest and unflinching approach, this play is sure to spark important conversations and leave a lasting impression on all who experience it.

Reserved tickets can be purchased online in advance at bsctheatre.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Questions about the production can be directed to bsc.theatre@bismarckstate.edu.
