Get ready for an exciting production filled with magic, music and roller-skating as Bismarck State College Theatre proudly presents the electrifying musical "Xanadu.” Set for March 20-24, performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and the matinee on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Drawn from the cult classic film, "Xanadu" is a tale of inspiration and self-discovery. It follows the journey of a magical Greek muse, Kira, who descends from Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, Calif., in 1980. Her mission is to ignite the creative spark in struggling artist Sonny Malone. As Kira and Sonny embark on this transformative journey, they encounter hilarious obstacles and heartwarming moments, inspiring us all.

With its blend of humor, romance, and catchy tunes, including hits like "Magic," "Suddenly" and "Xanadu,” this production promises to give the audience a night of fun and laughter.

Performances will be held at the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium in Schafer Hall on the BSC campus, kicking off the 2024 BSC ArtsQuest lineup. Reserved tickets can be purchased in advance online at bsctheatre.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Questions about the production can be directed to bsc.theatre@bismarckstate.edu.
