A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program offered through Bismarck State College (BSC) Continuing Education will begin March 7. Originally slated for January, this later start date will provide an opportunity for more students to enroll, providing a more robust learning environment.

This CMA program offers an opportunity to upskill, change careers or explore the medical field. An entry-level career, CMAs have many career opportunities, including routine administrative and clinical tasks in a variety of offices and clinics.

The 25-week CMA course is a hybrid of online theory, in-person labs and on-site clinical practicums and is offered as non-credit. It does not require students to apply for admission to BSC. Funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), ND Career Builders Scholarship, and Vocational Rehabilitation is available for qualifying individuals.
