Bismarck State College presents its Wind Ensemble in concert on Monday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium, inside Schafer Hall on the BSC campus. The concert is offered to the public at no charge as part of BSC’s ArtsQuest celebration.

Conducted by John Darling, the ensemble performs a series of works including music from “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, “Street Tango” by Aster Piazzolla, featuring BSC student Jordan Upgren on the flugelhorn, and “Star Wars – The Marches,” by John Williams as the finale.

Among other selections, the concert also features Hitoshi Sakimoto’s “Music from Final Fantasy XII” arranged by Jacob Lawler. Lawler is currently a Dickinson State University junior majoring in music education through the collaborative music program on the BSC campus. He received his associate degree from BSC.
