Lack of hydraulic fracturing crews was among factors contributing to a 1 percent drop in North Dakota’s latest oil production numbers.
Oil dropped from 1.04 million barrels a day in May to 1.032 million barrels a day in June, according to a monthly production report from North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms.
“We are still above 1 million barrels a day, and it looks like we will stay above that at least into the winter weather,” Helms said. “It’s impossible to guess once we get into winter how that might affect things, but June was 1.032 million and July looks solid at over a million. August is shaping up to be very similar, so we should be staying in that million to million and 50,000 range.”
