Job crunch getting worse in Oil Patch

The jobs crunch for Oil Patch communities is intensifying, and employers are struggling to find trainable people to fill job openings, much less those with experience.

Cindy Sanford is the office manager for the Williston Job Services ND office, and talked about tools employers can use to attract employees at the Williston Basin Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute Tuesday night.

“We are there again for labor,” Sanford said. “We are very, very close. We have jobs coming in daily, and we don’t have the people coming in.”
