Bismarck State College will hold an energy open house at the National Energy Center of Excellence on Thursday, March 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on campus. The event offers prospective students and those interested in the energy industry a chance to learn about the training and education offered at BSC and an opportunity to apply for programs.

High school juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone interested in pursuing a career change. Industry trainers interested in learning more about energy workforce development resources are also invited to attend.

Guests will learn about BSC energy program offerings while they tour the facility, view lab equipment and classrooms, visit with faculty, and learn about opportunities in the energy industry. Students can apply for summer and fall classes and BSC energy program advisors and admissions and financial aid representatives will be available to offer assistance and answer questions.

Attendees have the chance to win a $500 BSC scholarship. Those interested in attending and registering for the scholarship can visit bscenergy/openhouse.

BSC offers 12 energy-related degree and certificate programs, with both on-campus and online options. Programs can be completed in two years or less, with some offerings allowing students to enter the workforce within nine months. Graduates from energy programs report placement rates of 97% to 100%.
