BSC hosts major regional cybersecurity conference – Cybercon 2019

CyberCon 2019 – a cybersecurity and critical infrastructure conference will be held October 2-3 at the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College in Bismarck, N.D. This is the second year of Cybercon, and the second year the event has been sold out.

The conference will address rapidly evolving approaches to ensuring business, personal and national security, and is targeted to those involved in IT or critical infrastructure, as well as small business owners, government employees, educators and students.

“The vision for this conference is to bring awareness of cybersecurity through collaboration and education,” says Tony Aukland, 2019 CyberCon chair. “We will focus on the critically important roles that both cybersecurity and critical infrastructure play in today’s digitally independent world.
Participants will learn from industry leaders, local organizations and experts in the field. The conference has three tracks: Critical Infrastructure, Threats, Trends and Responses; and Key Interests.
 
Conference keynotes and speakers include Brian Levine, US Dept. of Justice, Deborah Blyth, Colorado CISO and Mike Willis, Colorado Director of Emergency Manager, and Unit 42, Palo Alto Networks.
