Bismarck, N.D. – It’s going to be a throwdown for North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) members as they kick off a competition to see which company can collect the most food, essentials and supplies for their communities.

The industry is launching “FEAST” – a Food, Essentials and Supplies Throwdown – this month to help food pantries and social services collect everyday necessities, including nonperishable food items, hygiene products, toiletries and more.

"In light of recent disasters, it’s easy to see how we take some of our everyday items for granted. Yet, it’s also a reminder that some of these things are inaccessible or unaffordable to people right here at home every day,” said Tessa Sandstrom, communications director for the NDPC. “In the industry, we have an army of employees who can give just a few items and make a big difference, and that’s exactly what we hope to achieve with this campaign.”
