BSC music faculty perform in recital Sept. 9

Five members of the Bismarck State College music faculty will perform in recital Sunday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.
Vocal soloists are Clyde Bauman, Dawn Hagerott and Dr. Jeffrey Stone. Instrumentalists are Laura Prokopyk and Michael Langer.
Prokopyk will open the program with J.S. Bach “Solo Violin Sonata #2 in A minor, Movements 3 & 4.” Bauman follows with “With a Song in My Heart” from “Spring is Here” by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.
Later in the concert Hagerott and Bauman come together to present the duet “Dirait-on,” by Morten Lauridsen, followed by the vocal trio of Hagerott, Bauman and Stone with “Tecum principium” from the Christmas Oratorio of Camille Saint-Saens.
Langer will close the concert with an original composition “Delphia: A Portrait in Three Parts for Piano, Video and Tape.”
A reception with refreshments follows the program. Admission is free.
