BSC hosts region’s first major cybersecurity conference – Cybercon 2018

CyberCon 2018 – a cybersecurity and critical infrastructure conference will be held October 2-3 at the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College in Bismarck, N.D.

The conference will address rapidly evolving approaches to ensuring business, personal and national security, and is targeted to those involved in IT or critical infrastructure, as well as small business owners, government employees, educators and students.

“This conference will educate attendees on how to keep their company, employees and networks safe in the ever-changing cyber landscape,” says John Nagel, CEO of CyberNet Security, LLC and 2018 CyberCon Chair.

Participants will learn from industry leaders, local organizations and experts in the field. The conference has three tracks: Critical Infrastructure, Threats, Trends and Responses; and Key Interests.
 
CyberCon 2018 is the first event of its kind in the region and is sponsored by global cybersecurity company and BSC educational partner Palo Alto Network along with the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services/NDSLIC, MDU Resources, Dakota Carrier Network, Dakota Community Bank & Trust, Starion Bank, Farmers Union, High Point Networks, HP Inc. and Marco.
