Bismarck State College holds its 11th annual President’s Run Friday, July 13, to raise money for the BSC scholarships in memory of friend to the college, Frank Bavendick.

Motorcycle and car enthusiasts are welcome to join BSC President Larry C. Skogen for this year’s run to Lemmon, S.D. Participants will enjoy lunch at the Petrified Wood Park in Lemmon followed by a tour at John Lopez’s Kokomo Gallery and the Grand River Museum, home of the famous Hugh Glass sculpture, before returning to Bismarck.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. (CST) with departure at 9 a.m. from the BSC Jack Science Center parking lot. A $110 registration per vehicle is requested.

This year’s President’s Run will be in memory of Frank Bavendick, who passed away in March 2018. Frank and his wife Joanne have been significant supporters of BSC and the BSC Foundation, and hundreds of students have benefited from their generosity. Frank was the recipient of numerous awards, including election to the BSC Athletic Hall of Fame, the BSC Distinguished Service Citation and the ND National Leadership Award of Excellence.

For those unable to participate in the ride, scholarship donations can be made directly to the BSC Foundation, PO Box 5587, Bismarck, N.D. 58506-5587. For more information and to sign-up, call 701-224-2686 or email mary.morrell@bismarckstate.edu. For more information visit bismarckstate.edu/presrun.
