As part of their ArtsQuest celebration, Bismarck State College presents their annual Collage Concert and Spring Choral Concert.

Audiences will enjoy a seamless performance during BSC’s popular Collage Concert Tuesday, April 10, in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

Set for 7:30 p.m., this multidisciplinary event progresses without interruption as music mixes with visual art improvisation and student poetry readings from Figments of Imagination, BSC’s literary journal.

While music evolves from student chamber music groups, student soloists and faculty, art professor David Lewellyn and art lecturer Ali Hein will create works of art inspired by what they hear, giving audience members an opportunity to watch an artwork develop. Special lighting by BSC Technical Theatre Director Dean Bellin will draw focus throughout the auditorium.

On Thursday, April 12, the BSC choral groups present Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana: Seven Country Songs by Robert Frost” in concert at 7:30 p.m. in Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

The concert will feature the BSC Concert Choir directed by Dr. Jeffrey Stone, the BSC Men’s Ensemble under the direction of Dawn Hagerott, and the BSC Women’s Ensemble directed by Clyde Bauman.

These events are presented at no charge during ArtsQuest, BSC’s month-long celebration of the arts. For more info visit bismarckstate.edu/artsquest.
