University Studies (BAS)

Design your own path to success with the University Studies program at BSC! This flexible program lets you craft a personalized plan with areas of emphasis tailored to your post-graduation goals. Each emphasis requires at least 12 credits, including 6 upper-division credits, ensuring depth in your studies. To get started, propose a minimum of 15 credits to complete after your plan is approved and watch your goals take shape.

Description

The University Studies program allows students to create a plan with areas of emphasis that will help them attain post-graduation goals. It is an interdisciplinary degree program that allows students to combine coursework from various disciplines to meet their individual academic and professional aspirations. This flexible and customizable program is ideal for students who want to explore multiple areas of study, develop a broad skill set, and prepare for careers in fields such as business, healthcare education, government, technology, or other professional sectors.

Preparation

This program is designed to allow a student to be admitted as either a transfer applicant or as a direct enrolled applicant. Refer to the Program Admission tab for additional admission requirements.

Students enrolling in the University Studies BAS program as a transfer applicant may have earned an associate in applied science, associate in arts, or associate in science from an accredited institution recognized by Bismarck State College.

Computer Requirements

All BSC courses use a Learning Management System (LMS) called Blackboard. Chromebooks, Chrome OS devices, iPads, and mobile devices (iOS, Android phones, tablets) do not allow students to satisfactorily access and complete course content.
