Description

Farm and Ranch Management Education provides a practical study of the business operations for families currently engaged in managing their farms or ranches. The courses will help families organize their record keeping system(s) and analyze their records to determine the financial strengths and weaknesses of their business and its enterprises. Training in computerized farm record systems is provided in this course. The courses center on the farmer’s or rancher's own financial information, which remains confidential. Farmers and ranchers will learn the skills to prepare financial statements and use them in their day-to-day operations. Most farm records are based on the calendar year. Student(s) are encouraged to enroll in both fall and spring semesters. The course is repeatable.

Requirements

A student must be actively engaged in farming or ranching. A student can also enroll as a beginning farmer or rancher.
