Scholarships
Due to high demand for water operators in North Dakota, there are several scholarship opportunities available for those interested in pursuing a career in water or wastewater treatment. Several of these scholarships are developed specifically for students enrolled in the BSC Water & Wastewater Technology program.
BSC Scholarships
BSC offers over $250k in scholarships designated just for Energy and Automation students! Due to the high demand for manufacturing and energy industry employees, students enrolled in automation and energy programs at BSC are eligible to receive up to $5,000/academic per semester! Every student should apply. Scholarships are not limited to financial need, and part-time and full-time students are eligible.
External Scholarships
North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association's (NDRWSA)
The North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association's (NDRWSA) scholarship program is open to students who are enrolled in Bismarck State College's Water & Wastewater Technology program. The scholarship can be used toward tuition, books, room, and board. A selection committee evaluates applicants and selects the scholarship recipient based on academic performance, career goals, extracurricular activities, leadership, financial need, and an essay on a predetermined topic.

Water Cents Scholarship
The purpose of the "Water Cents" program is to fund a water scholarship for persons interested in getting an education in the water industry. The scholarship is open to any family member of a current NPRWD subscriber/customer is eligible to apply for the educational scholarship.
