Energy Providers Coalition for Education (EPCE)

epce.pngThe Energy Providers Coalition for Education (EPCE) is a group of industry representatives that develops, sponsors, and promotes industry-driven, standardized, quality online learning programs to meet the workforce needs of the energy industry.

In 2001, EPCE chose Bismarck State College to develop the Electric Power Technology (ELPW) online associate degree program to train existing transmission and distribution employees and to education the next generation of energy employees.  Enrolled students enjoy the option of picking and choosing classes to meet their education needs or completing the Associate in Applied Science degree.

In 2003, Bismarck State College was asked to develop the Nuclear Power Technology (NUPT) online associate degree program to develop a degree specialized for non-licensed operator and health physics positions in nuclear generation systems. The NUPT program is also a great opportunity for present nuclear station employees in non-technical areas, and all employees who are seeking a degree and/or additional training.
