Orientation to the Electrical Industry

Course Description: This course will familiarize students with today's electrical industry. The course will begin by looking at the history of the industry and at those who played major roles in its creation, development and structure. The course will familiarize students with the three sectors of the industry and the roles of each. Lastly, the course will touch on deregulation, new technology and what the future appears to hold.

Who should participate? This course is designed for new hire orientation and employee training programs for all positions in utility companies, including managers, engineers, technicians, non-technical staff, and anyone else interested in learning an overview of the electrical industry.

What is the course schedule? The course is open for registration at any time. Participants will have access to the course until June 30. All registrations received the month of June will have access until June 30 of the following year. The participant will have access to the material within three (3) working days after registration.

Course Fee: $220.00

*Refunds granted at the participant's request prior to the course start date will incur a $15 processing fee. If the cancellation is requested more than one (1) business day after the registration is processed, no refund is available.
